For Families

Parents may be concerned about whether or not their child is reaching his/her potential, about emotional problems affecting the child or about specific problems with learning such as dyslexia, dysgraphia or dyscalculia.

Consultations include:

• History taking and discussion of parental concerns
 
• Full assessment of child’s intellectual ability and attainment in literacy and numeracy
 
• Advice on specific learning problems and analysis of emotional factors that may affect the child
 
• Suggestions about ways in which parents and school can meet the child’s needs
 
• Support for examination concessions
 
• Full written report incorporating detailed assessment and advice
